Welcome to Wayne Bennett Photography Galleries. Wayne is a dentist by profession and has been a professional photographer for the past 18 years, specializing in the area of nature photography. The Great American Photography Weekends, Bill Fortney in particular, was the spark that ignited his turnaround in photography. He enjoyed an association of over 10 years with GAPW and has had the opportunity to learn from and teach with the best of the best in nature photography, including, John Shaw, Rod Planck, Pat O'Hara, Art Wolfe, Bryan Peterson and of course Bill Fortney. After GAPW, Wayne taught photography at Disney Institute in Orlando, FL. He has/continues to shoot stock for Sharpshooters, Corbis and now Alamy Agencies and has been published in a number of publications, including Outdoor Photographer. Wayne is proud to be a charter member of NANPA and a past president of the Orlando Camera Club. You can contact Wayne at sportooth1@gmail.com. Enjoy your visit!
Additional note: Nine members of the Orlando Camera club, including Wayne, submitted a portfolio of 20 images (selected from over 350 submitted) to the Natures Best Magazines Windland Smith Rice International Photo Competition and won! There were 85 camera clubs that submitted portfolios from the USA and Europe. A composite of 9 of the images is now hanging in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC until May, 2009.
For the past few years I have been using some photo related products, which I can highly recommend. The first is Singh-Ray filters. They are the best out there and each filter is hand made when ordered. Each filter passes very specific tests before released to the consumer. They are not inexpensive, but are worth what you pay. I have a Singh-Ray Hilux filter on each of my lenses all the time. Their web site is http://www.singh-ray.com. Secondly I would recommend Think Tank bags and accessories. Think Tank is a very well thought out system for the photographer of all levels, especially if you do a lot of travel by air. Their web site is http://www.thinktankphoto.com/affiliate. Mention the code AP-336 and you'll recieve a free bag with any purchase over $50.00.

Savannah : Savannah is a beautiful city, steeped in Southern tradition. I was fortunate to have been asked to help with a workshop led by Bill Fortney and Scott Kelby. Also assisting were Joanne Wells and Bill Durrance. We had 33 participants and a good time was had by all. We were happy to have Ricky Scaggs join us as a participant. Ricky is an outstanding artist with some 14 grammy awards to his credit and a darn good photographer, too.

India : India is a fascinating sub-continent of 1.3 billion people. It is a land of extremes, from opulent palaces to abject poverty residing side-by-side. The "Golden Triangle" is the area around New Delhi, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Agra. The faces of the people are a delight to behold. Included are some images from Nepal, in and around Kathmandu.
